Where I was; Where I am

Not a year and a half ago I was well on my way to having it all. Soon I look forward to having neurologist tell me what has been wrong with me since then. During this time of battling with my body and my soul and my spirit and my life, I have been inactive. Everything I thought was sooo important has suddenly become unimportant and now I live for the day to day activities like making it to the table for dinner and helping my son with his homework. This blog is no longer about a budding author weaving through the politics and minefields of publishing. This blog now is about a person struggling to survive one day after another.

Verizon Wireless
P. O. Box 105378
Atlanta, GA 30348

To Whom It May Concern:

This is notice that my long relationship with Verizon will be ending, one cell phone at a time as the renewal dates come and go over the next two years. I have been with Verizon for five years and will miss “the network” which I truly believe is the best.

However, Verizon is loosing my business because it cannot keep it’s word. I spoke with several persons who promised one thing and then something different was done, and now I am left holding the bag and paying you money that I do not believe I should have to pay.

Over the past few months, I have been yelled at in one of your stores. Hung up on at least four occasions when calling into your customer service line. Told different things. Promised one thing and then had something else happen. I have been told someone would contact me no less that four times and NEVER been called when I was told. I was called once, unsolicited, to be told the credit to my account would stand. Then I had my service disconnected for “failure of payment.” The only reason my service isn’t currently disconnected is because I have contacted Verizon to figure out where our issue stands and told once again something different than I had been told the numerous times before.

Bottom line is, you want your money not your customer. So, you’ll get your money and my family business will find someone who wants a customer. I am sure the estimated $11, 844 over five years and the numerous friends, families and other businesses I will recommend to another company will be welcomed. I hope $198 is worth that to Verizon.

As a company you may want to invest my $198 on improving communication skills in your customer service area.
