Where I was; Where I am

Not a year and a half ago I was well on my way to having it all. Soon I look forward to having neurologist tell me what has been wrong with me since then. During this time of battling with my body and my soul and my spirit and my life, I have been inactive. Everything I thought was sooo important has suddenly become unimportant and now I live for the day to day activities like making it to the table for dinner and helping my son with his homework. This blog is no longer about a budding author weaving through the politics and minefields of publishing. This blog now is about a person struggling to survive one day after another.

Coming Soon: BIG Announcement
I have been working hard and steady the past few weeks. If you don't know, The Witches' Voice has been featuring me on their website for the past three weeks. I hope they go ahead and publish the third article in my Faith and Children series. This exposure has lead to some great emails from people who agree with me, one that thinks I am a "fundamentalist Wiccan" (is that possible?) and one that thinks I want everyone to be just like my Family Coven. For the record, I don't; however, I was unable to convince that reader otherwise. Of course, Celtic Whispers, The New Ager and Spirit One ezines have also been featuring my work (THANKS).

I have also set up a brand new Guestbook on this site. Go ahead and surf over there and leave a message! Tree Bear has done it twice. Once under the direction of Stone and once when nobody knew. Makes a mommy feel special.

I redecorated my office for 2008 (see pictures in This blog), cleaning out junk and re-organizing. I have been on a big re-organization kick, the past few weeks. This has included my purchase of Seasons of the Witch calendar...next year I hope to buy the Tree of Life jacket to replace my Franklin Covey jacket I have had for years and years now. I like the calendar except that they have replaced the days of the week with the following names: Sun Day; Moon Day; Tiu's Day; Woden's Day; Thor's Day; Freya's Day and Saturn's Day. I have to think about the day of the week I am on and the other day I confirmed a class by saying, "So that is going to be Thor's Day, February...." I think the person on the line thought I had lost my mind. Another challenge for it is that the paper must be written on with pen. I am a big pencil girl and don't like that. Your other choices are to surf over to Llewellyn Worldwide Publishing and chose from one of their many almanac and calendar selections. Another cool calendar to consider is the We-Moon Calendar. If Llewellyn would put out a calendar that was unbound, I would snap it up in a heart beat!

Speaking of scheduling, I have updated the Itinerary page with some newly scheduled events in both California and Michigan. I have spoken with Rabbit at Sacred Well, Kelli at Kelli's Broom Closet and Karen at Crystal Treasures. All three of these fine ladies sound wonderful and I can't wait to go to their stores and present. My schedule is begining to book up and with some other developments in my life, I am afraid my time for 2008 is going to be limited.

Speaking of other developments, I go and see Jonathan, my lawyer, all around great guy and yogi master, on Wednesday of next week to discuss my big announcement। With any luck, the deal will be done and a formal notice can be made. I can't believe my Personal Assistant (PA) is already prepping the press release.

I hope to see lots of you at MI and CA when I travel! Look me up at one of the stores, PantheaCon or ConVocation.
